White Sapphire is a transparent/colorless gemstone of the Corundum mineral family. It is known as Safed Pukhraj and belongs to the planet Venus (Shukra). Shukra means white or brilliance in Sanskrit, and it also was the name of the sage who advised the Asuras, the Daityaguru.
